(E) Handle the flood in Jakarta

                Jakarta placed in lower land and there are under sea level. Beside that Jakarta have many river from West Java, especially Bogor and Puncak. The biggest river is Ciliwung river, This river usually blow up which make Jakarta flooding. The flood causes many problems, economic movement distrubed, inflation, and many more. So, what sould we do? I think there are three way that can our do to handle flood in Jakarta.

                The first way is throw the trash in the trash can. This is the oldschool way but it is very effective. Now, in the river, there are many trash carried by the river. This situation cause the river smell and swallow. The swallow river cannot accomodate big water. So, if the rain come down, the river in Jakarta will blow up easily. There for we must keep that trash in the trash can, don’t throw the trash in river, later it can cause a flood.

                The second way is don’t live inthe river bank. River bank used for protect the river from blow up. But, the poor people builded the house in river bank, because they cannot buy the new one in other place. The house in the river bank made the bottom of the river shallow. They bury the river that can live in that area. The shallow river and narrow can’t accomodate the big water, later it can cause a flood again.

               The last way is we must build a infiltration wells. Infiltration wells use for accomodate rain water besides in the river. The goverment suggest for all building in the Jakarta to bulid a infiltration wells, the high buliding in downtown and every houses in the Jakarta. We all must build that thing to handle the flood. To build a infiltration wells, didn’t costed a much money, It same that bulid a well. Just dig a hole 4-5 meters deep and 30-40 cm for the diameters.

                In conclution, flood bring many problem for us or Jakarta. The problem in economic, humanity, inflation, or may be mobilisation Jakarta people. In that case, we should do anything to handle the flood. The flood not a goverment problem to solve it, but it is our probelm too. We must help to goverment to handle this problem and solve this problem together. If all people in Jakarta do that, I think it will be no more flood.
